Our office at Techbase became a meeting place for UX enthusiasts: during the usability test dinner, real users tested our products and others. There was plenty of pizza and exciting conversations.
How pizza helps us build better energy apps
On November 18, 2025, Consolinno hosted its first usability test dinner—an evening full of insights, honest feedback, and delicious pizza!
In six exciting test rounds, each lasting 15 minutes, volunteer testers were able to provide valuable feedback on a total of six products – from learning apps to energy management solutions.
The following companies and apps were involved:
- Consolinno Energy with two stations: a prototype energy management app and the REES billing platform
- BeAFox: a learning app that explains financial knowledge in simple terms
- stadtpuls: Regensburg's event app for entertainment and local networking
- baumi.digital with 2day: an innovative time management app
- Headscape: a novel communication platform
Why was the evening so valuable?
Three things made the usability test dinner very beneficial for us and the other app developers:
- Direct exchange with real users
- Honest feedback on design, usability, and features
- Specific ideas for improvement for all participating products
